Greetings Everyone,
I like to share with you why I am passionate in growing my network. Let me share my background. As many of you already know, I'm from Pensacola, FL. I earned a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree in 1985 from Florida A&M University, School of Pharmacy, Tallahassee, FL. Since 1986, I have worked multiple occupations as a registered pharmacist in FL, VA and AL. However, my current job as a Covid-19 Clinical Pharmacist at Central Alabama Healthcare Systems (CAVHCS), Montgomery, AL gives me the greatest level of satisfaction to date. As a Veteran (USAF, 1974-1980), I understand the daunting process of the VA Healthcare System. As a pharmacist I help fellow Veterans understand why the benefits of Covid-19 vaccinations outweigh the choice of not vaccinating, which can have a fatal result. I am proud to be at the forefront of evidence-based clinical data about disease prevalence, injectable medications (vaccinations, monoclonal antibodies) and oral antiviral medications used to reduce this pandemic. When you teach a Veteran, he or she will educate his or her community. They are the respected patriarch and matriarch in their family. So what's the pharmacist-insurance connection? Through serendipity of helping people get the most from their prescription insurance, came the transition to life insurance, since 2018.I joined World Financial Group (WFG). This company does more than just sell a variety of insurance products and mutual funds, stocks and bonds. They are seriously committed to teaching people How Money Works. So fast forward, I have the best of both worlds; Pharmacist + Insurance Agent + budding money coach (pending FINRA credentialing) = the consumer's best advocate. In general, our veterans are very loyal to our country and depend on veterans services for so many health and psychosocial needs. However, financial illiteracy remains an eyesore that I can make an attempt to combat. Therefore, my goal is to carve my niche and grow my business in the community of Veterans. For all who wore the uniform to defend our freedom, I am privileged to empower veterans and their family and friends of multiple generations (Baby Boomers, millennials Xs, Ys & Zs) to avoid or overcome financial illiteracy.
