The really sad part, this is a real estate news source and many agents use it for knowledge.

Best advice, get real facts, apply common sense, look at your housing area and price range and hire excellent help from a real real estate professional.

Today's article is the negative to yesterday.

This article is technically correct, but also misleading and sold with prior agenda in place.

Much of the media today looks at micro markets or segments and attempts to make points. While these points may work for that micro market, the real question is do they apply to the market as a whole or the segment you want to buy or sell in? Worse, many of these media stories have alterior motives and are acutally there to simply create fear for other reasons.

Interestingly enough, not only do we see this trend in market forecast; we also saw it over the past 5 years in inflation data, jobs data and the recently in the housing foreclosure market data.

This makes buying and selling real estate tough today. You need a very knowledgeable, experienced and dedicated real estate professional to assist you. Contact us, one of ours can help.

The question on everyone's mind is what will the housing market do?

The answer is not so simple. It requires real market experience, beyond the last 10 years, and dedication.

The lore from media (broadcast, digital and print) is not really helping and often misleading or outright wrong.

The issue is and always has been Supply and demand, location, and price range. It is a complex issue that requires truly knowledgeable and experienced real estate professionals or economists to understand. It works best when these professionals do not have another agenda to push first. Truth and facts should always rule, but as the media has shown us over the last 10 to 12 years, spin sells news better.

Unfortunately decisions based on spin are rather expensive unless you just get lucky. We saw an object lesson on this in 2007 to 2010. Question is did we learn? The media did not, but did you?

Today and tomorrow lets look at two news stories to see my point. They both are correct, although one is more correct than the other, and they both are wrong. It simply depends on the market segment they are using to prove their point.

As housing prices continue to increase overall, your cost of the interest should probably not be your primary concern. Your primary concern should be what the delay in purchase will cost in purchase power.

Remember Housing is Supply and Demand based. We have an established inventory shortage, any demand increase causes the price to increase too.
