“I keep hearing there are more homes for sale. So why can’t I find anything?”
That’s what a buyer recently said to me after opening their saved search. And honestly, I understood the frustration.
The headlines were saying inventory was increasing. There were more homes on the market. Buyers supposedly had more choices.
But then we started looking at the homes that actually fit their life.
The right price range eliminated quite a few. The neighborhoods they wanted eliminated more. Then we looked at condition, number of bedrooms, commute, and the things they simply weren’t willing to compromise on.
Suddenly, that big increase in inventory didn’t feel so big anymore.
And that’s the part of the real estate market that often gets lost in the headlines.
Yes, there may be more homes for sale. But more listings don't necessarily mean more homes that fit your budget, your preferred location, and your lifestyle.
The market counts every listing.
Your life doesn't.
That’s why I think a good buyer’s agent needs to look beyond the inventory numbers and help you understand what is actually available to you.
If your home search feels like you have plenty of choices but nothing you really want, send me “OPTIONS.” I’ll put together a personalized search snapshot so we can look at what’s really available in your price range and the areas you want to call home.
Because sometimes the problem isn’t that you’re too picky.
You just need to know where the right options are.
