If you live in the Phoenix area ( planting zone 9b)
know that all sun guidance rules are off in July and August. Full sun doesn't work for a lot of plants. In my case, Sun City with a lot of plants, some in pots some in the ground, I take the following actions:
Move pots as needed to where they are shaded late afternoon.
If they are in-ground or pots that can't be moved, use shade cloth. I buy shade cloth on Amazon at a fairly good price. Shade cloth needs to be positioned so that it doesn't touch the plants and allows for good airflow for the plants. I use plactic lawn chairs for temporary structure.
Water every morning.
There are other precautions but pay attention tou your plants. Check at least once in the late afternoon if you want them to survive đŸ˜€
