(Especially for your pets' sake. Please don't leave your animals in the car. That would be bad.) Happy birthday, Relics !!!!!!!🎂💕

One day 19ish years ago, I landed in Peoria Illinois. My husband at the time, got a job with Caterpillar, the big earth movers corporation. Based in Peoria, Illinois
It was sad to leave all my friends in Madison, but I tried to make the best of it.
After searching around, I found a tiny little storefront for rent at the very edge of town. Next to the bridge, nearly under the overpass, across the street from a Hardee’s, in a space that a guy had secretly been frying chickens at on the weekends.
It was 450 feet of emptiness.
I thought, since I didn’t know anyone, I could just fill the space with some fun cute things (mostly vintage at first) make some pretty window displays, maybe people might stop in and it might be a nice way to meet my new community. I knew no one here in my new town….
That is how Relics, the tiny little shop, very humble adventure began… ❤️
