We are excited to share the most recent construction progress Portico at Perdido has made. We only have four residences remaining! ✨ Also, take a peak at the latest photographs taken during the month of October at the Portico site!
Thank you to BLHI Senior Superintendent, Hal Clements, for sharing the detailed construction update below with us:
The past 3 weeks:
- We poured the 615-yard core pile cap foundation on 10/23. That’s about 70 concrete mixer trucks averaging almost 90 yards per hour.
- After stripping the mass cap, we formed and poured the stair and elevator shear wall cans and columns. We poured two cores, and the third core scheduled for 11/12.
- We have also been working on finishing the small pile caps. To date, three pile caps are remaining. These will be complete before Thanksgiving.
- Pouring columns has been on-going for the past three weeks, working from east to west following the pile caps.
- Last Monday, 11/1, we began grading the site and putting down the stone to shore the first level deck.
- Waterproofing on the two elevator pits began on 11/8.
- The first delivery of shoring / forming for level 1 started. Beam and slab decking will begin on 11/17.
- Under-slab storm, inlets, and piping is ongoing and scheduled for completion on 11/19.
- Plumbing and electrical underground started on 10/25.
Blessings,
The Portico at Perdido Team
