The new owner of this beautiful kitchen started working with me back in March of 2021. A referral from a friend, we had a great time touring potential houses together. And we toured A LOT of houses. Our search had some major wins (accepted offers), some bumps (potential moves out of state), and some losses (missing out on a unicorn). But we didn’t give up and I kept coming back to my client saying “I want to be able to host my friends and family”… because that is what a house is really all about, isn’t it? A place to create memories. Together.

If you know me, you know historic homes are my jam. Swipe through to peek at the wonderfully restored details of this stunning 1870’s Petaluma home. They’re too good not to share.

***A side note: it’s super rare for a nearly 150 year old home to have so much of its original hardware remain intact. Over the years, these homes tend to get stripped of their hinges, door k***s, light fixtures, etc. as the homes change ownership. Either styles change or owners take the good stuff with them before moving out... The magic of this particular home is that it has had only a handful of owners--all of whom lovingly preserved the adornments that make this home so special.
