Multi GenX…

I met J at an open house where he shared with me that he’s looking for a property for his mom S to move to in Petaluma where they can be close but separate and he can support her as she ages. We looked at a handful of properties and Mama S came up a couple times too. Nothing seemed to fit. …too small, too far from town, too rustic, too much work, etc.

This mindfully updated vintage home was unique though and seemed to check the boxes. Single level living for mom, connected but separate living for son, and with a perfect in-town location.

It was a joy and very easy working with the Dino and Heidi Wilson team to coordinate the timelines of the sale of the buyer’s home and the close of this one. Compassion and Heart played into making sure Mama S was comfortable and confident with each step.

Multi-Generational…

Another beautiful story of matchmaking homes and lives. My client wanted her aging mom to move to town so she would be closer when things start to slow down. Mom isn’t slowing at all by the way. She walks 5 days a week, rolls with the top down in her convertible, and is as quick as a whip. She needed a one story home with no worries that was close to town. After looking at just a couple in Sebastopol she was haunted by this one - a freshly renovated home a block from downtown!

Like many home purchases there are concerns with such a grand life move. The sellers, the client daughter, myself, and the agents all worked to make sure Mom was comfortable with everything. All hands on deck! Everyone made sure that the home handoff would be just as they would have it for their own parents.

It was quick. It was smooth. …and Mother and Daughter had a collective sigh of relief for the idea being even simpler than they imagined.

This one felt wonderful. Taking care of the parents is a labor of …Love and Grace.

So it’s possible? YES!
You, too, can find a dream in West Petaluma for under a million!

J & A activated the idea of buying together and settling but thought their list of wants and needs pushed them out of their dream location. So we got to work. We looked at a handful of properties and continued to refine the vision.

This perfect home on a larger lot in one of their favorite neighborhoods arrived like an answer. But it was priced above their comfort zone …and it surprisingly sat. When the price dropped, an offer was made and accepted that worked for both parties. J & A were pre-approved and ready! Now their dreams can become amazing memories!

Sellers B & M had a long history here with their beloved sister. Weekend visits and watching their kids grow under the shade of the majestic oak trees. There was a lot of honoring of wishes and reverence with each step of the improvements made. So much love and energy went into this project.
B & M weren’t afraid to get dirty on weekends to make things happen. Amazing clients who trusted the process and presentation.

During our project period I germinated some acorns from the huge oak tree and potted the baby tree sprouts. They were given to family and friends to honor the life and joy of B’s sister. I wish I had pics but I just visited a couple of the babies last week!

In contract after just 8 days and closed in 22 days. Multiple offers and sold over asking price.
