Usually, I take rooms from vacant to staged.

This time, I’m going in reverse.

Because before furniture, styling, and accessories, there’s the space itself.

And this is a room I can’t stop redesigning in my head.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing how I would reimagine it—and the design decisions behind every change.

How does a staging install come together?

It often starts with one or two pieces.

For this home, the Durant Coffee Table was our starting point. Its scale, shape, and style made it the perfect anchor for the room.

From there, we paired it with the Nathan Leather Chair, adding warmth, texture, and contrast to balance the lighter upholstery.

After that, everything flowed, and the layering began - always my favorite part.

I started Elle Home Design eight years ago with not much more than a creative vision that had been with me since high school.

What I didn’t know then was that owning a business, while a tremendous honor, would also be one of the biggest challenges of my life.

The last eight years have stretched me, humbled me, inspired me, and connected me with people I never would have met otherwise.

I’ve had the opportunity to stage hundreds of homes, work alongside incredible agents, and build relationships that mean more to me than I can put into words.

Today, I’m excited to share that, in a few short weeks, Elle Home Design will be entering a new chapter under new ownership.

To everyone who trusted us with their listings, referred us to a friend, supported our business, or cheered us on along the way—thank you.

A simple edit.

We replaced the light fixture, removed some visual weight, and created a little breathing room. The result is a space that feels more open, more intentional, and much less crowded.
