Last week I joined my fellow Epique Realty agents for the first ever brokerage vs brokerage kickball tournament. Team “Epique-ly Unqualified” showed up in all of our pink glory, lost every game we played, and I have a bruise the size of a kickball on my leg. But we had a BLAST cheering on all the teams, making silly TikTok’s in the outfield between games, and brought home the prize of best dressed and best team spirit!

I even won an incredible cooler full of alcohol (valued at $1k!) from Schneider’s Investors Group!

I’ll be sharing some of our fun TikTok’s separately because it’s too good not to. (Facebook won’t let me share them all in one post 🙄)

You’re *so close* to closing—this is not the time for “just one little purchase.”

**What NOT to do before closing:**
❌ Open new credit cards
❌ Finance a car/furniture/appliances
❌ Move large chunks of money around
❌ Switch jobs (unless we talk first)
❌ Miss any bill payments

Protect your approval, or in other words, step away from the “buy now, pay later” button! 😂

Pantry people are over there dreaming about organized snacks, small appliances hidden away, and bulk Costco hauls.

Island people are picturing extra seating, hosting friends, spreading out holiday food, and pretending the island won’t become a junk collector 😅

Not necessarily bigger. Not necessarily fancier.

Maybe it’s a mudroom so backpacks and shoes stop multiplying by the front door.
Maybe it’s a bigger pantry.
Maybe it’s an office with a door that actually closes. 😅
Or maybe you just want enough kitchen counter space to set down groceries without playing Tetris.

The funny thing is, most people don’t realize what matters most until they’re living without it.

A lot of buyers start house hunting thinking they need the biggest house possible… until they realize bigger can also mean:

🏡 More cleaning
💡 Higher utility bills
🧹 More maintenance
💸 More furniture to buy
😵 More places for random junk piles to magically appear

The goal isn’t just more square footage. It’s finding a home that actually fits your life.

Sometimes the “perfect” house isn’t the biggest one on the block—it’s the one that makes everyday life easier.

Today we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country, along with the loved ones whose memories continue to live on through family and friends.

Their courage, sacrifice, and dedication helped protect freedoms many of us experience every day.

Every house has them.

Take your shoes off at the door.
No eating in the living room.
Don’t touch Dad’s thermostat under any circumstances ☠️
And somehow everybody knows exactly which kitchen cabinet holds the good snacks.

The funny thing is, every home ends up with its own little personality and random rules that just become a thing.
