My sellers put so much care, attention, and detail into their home. They personalized it and made it exactly what they wanted. While getting ready to list this property, we had someone come through its estate sale. They loved it and asked if we’d entertain an offer prior to hitting the market. Direct from one of my favorite lenders. The Fed cut rates 9/18, but mortgages didn’t drop much. It’s because lenders had already baked it into their rates in the prior weeks. Rates continue to drop and we’re expecting 1 (hopefully 2) more cuts this year.

Austin’s market is a tough one right now. Inventory is up, prices are down. It favors buyers who can afford the higher interest rates. They’re usually getting some closing costs, discounts, and are negotiate a lot more in repairs these days. This past winter, we were expecting multiple rate drops in 2024, but they’ve remained flat. I’m curious to see if we’ll get one at the next fed meeting and how it may affect our market.

A Helping Hand in Real Estate
Jef started his career in real estate after becoming a self-taught investor and discovering he had a particular knack for it. As an avid do-it-your-selfer who always has home improvement projects in the works, he enjoys finding properties with potential beyond what meets the eye. When more and more friends started asking for his advice, he decided it was time to turn his hobby into a full-time career.
Prior to real estate, Jef had an award-winning career in visual production & marketing, working with people of all walks of life - from Fortune 500 technology companies, to local musicians, to Hollywood executives, and even two sitting Presidents at the White House. It’s this background that taught Jef to become a tireless problem-solver, negotiator, and have a critical eye for detail.
First time home buyers are one of Jef’s favorite type of clients because he knows how overwhelming the process can be and how valuable it is to have the right person in your corner. As an investor, he also enjoys working with and educating anyone who wants to add real estate to their portfolio.
In his spare time, he loves traveling, playing with his two dogs, watching his beloved Buffalo Bills, or going out to see the local Austin music scene.
