"In celebration of hip-hop’s 50th anniversary, The Philadelphia Orchestra and West Philadelphia rapper Chill Moody will perform Darin Atwater's Black Metropolis: Improvisations on Paint Factory. This one-of-a-kind composition explores the pillars of hip-hop and Black culture through an architecture of sound. In addition to the great Philadelphia Orchestra, this evening will also feature rappers, DJs, and choirs."

Happy Mother's Day, from mine to yours. 🌸

This pic is 2 years old but a perfect representation of my kid's separate personalities. Being a mother isn't just about loving and nurturing your kids; it's about loving, nurturing, and supporting individual personalities separately with care, so that they grow strong and confident in who they are as an individual. It's micro-nurturing, micro-disciplining, micro-supporting...AND making sure their all fed, groomed, and in bed at a decent hour.

Shout out to all who do it, to all who nurture their communities, and especially to those who don't have their Moms around anymore. You are loved. ❤️

This is a good article that gives insight to all the commercial development going on in Philly. The cranes in the sky will be less and less if rates or construction costs don't cut back soon.

Last night was the annual State of University City event at World Cafe Live. It was a great and uplifting presentation, showing the many advances to the world at large being made right within this section of the city. Not only that, the unity on display from every rank within the organization was something to marvel at. All fuzzy feelings aside, it was acknowledged and needs to be pushed, the affordable housing issue that plagues West Philly. I'll be looking forward to supporting that initiative and boosting clients who have that agenda at heart.

Lastly, they gifted everyone in attendance a $25 gift card to a specific West Philly restaurant. Vietienne Cafe, I'm coming for you!!

Our First Time Home Buyer Seminar was a hit!! Someone even traveled from Lancaster, PA to sit in and find out more information! With grants and information ever-changing, we'll likely have one every quarter to help assist those who want to break into the world home ownership.

Special thanks to those who came - in this day in age where people RSVP, but don't show up, I think we did pretty good! 😊
