What are Opportunity Zones?

An Opportunity Zone is an area in need of development where new investments from capital gains, under certain conditions, are eligible for significantly preferential tax treatment.

These NEW tax cuts were added to the tax code by the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act on December 22, 2017.

In 2018 Opportunity Zones were identified all across the country.
