Nobody reads this part of the lead-buying arrangement out loud, so I will.
That lead you paid for? The platform sold the same name to a bunch of other agents in the same second. It was never yours. The contact info lives in their system, and whatever relationship gets built runs through their pipes. Stop paying and it all disappears like you were never there.
That's a subscription. It is not a business.
And it explains why so many good agents feel stuck. You can run that model perfectly for ten years and own nothing at the end of it. No list that's actually yours. No name in the market. The pipeline dies the day the card declines.
There's another way to spend the same money, it's just never advertised, because nobody upstream profits when you own your own patch. Your list, your reputation, your position as the agent who knows what's really happening on that street. Stuff that compounds instead of expiring.
That's what we work on inside the community. Costs nothing to come look.
