Sometimes it's fun to be a tourist in your own city! 🏙️

Matt spent the afternoon at Reading Terminal Market... & every Philadelphian should do this more often.

A little history: the market opened its doors in 1893, tucked right under the old Reading Railroad's train shed on Feb. 22, 1893, in a space that originally spanned 78,000 square feet with room for nearly 800 merchants. It's one of the oldest continuously operating public markets in the country, and it's been a National Historic Landmark since 1976.

It was actually named #1 Public Market in America in the USA Today 10Best Readers' Choice Awards!

The food is unmatched, offering fresh produce and Pennsylvania Dutch cooking from Amish vendors, legendary soft pretzels, cheesesteaks, dim sum, and global flavors ranging from Thai and Indian to Cajun. Basically every craving covered under one roof.

If you're house hunting in South Philly, Lower Moyamensing deserves a closer look. Think classic rowhomes with tons of character; some updated with modern finishes, some ready for a renovator's vision.
