Happy Day Off to all the fine laborers out there! And to all you fellow workaholics, let’s do our best to not work today, eh?

That said, I’m already up and running comps for my investors. Hey, what do they say about the early bird and worms? 🪱🐦‍⬛ When I get done doing that, I’m shucking some Jersey corn, slicing some Jersey tomatoes, fixin’ a summer salad and makin’ some homemade burgers. I WILL sit on the deck today! I applaud all those who do the same.

Joe and Sara first came into my life as interior design clients at Briteside Interior Design when I designed their farmhouse in Malvern, PA. They were referred to me by my other interior design clients, Mariam and David, whose Harvey Cedars beach house I designed last year. After visiting LBI several times and falling in love with the island, Joe and Sara began thinking about what it would be like to have a beach house of their own.

Last month we looked at over a dozen properties in one day, and after a long, fun afternoon of exploring the island, we found THE ONE while taking a walk down to the bay to take in the view before heading home.

There it was, just sitting there with a For Sale sign. “What’s up with THAT one,” Joe asked? I called the listing agent and since we were standing right in front of it, she gave us permission to walk through. We walked in and Joe immediately lit up. Sara fell in love with it, too. “THE VIEWS! I can have my coffee right here,” she said. So we ran the numbers, submitted our offer, and now it’s officially their Home Beach Home!

I couldn’t be happier for Joe and Sara. I have had the good fortune of watching them make their farmhouse dreams come true, and now their beach house dreams have come true, too. Getting to be a part of both chapters has been such a privilege and a blessing. Most of all, I’m so excited for them to create years of beach memories with their kids, Sam and Lily, and spend quality time together in a place they now call their own.

As we celebrate the Fourth of July today, we also celebrate an extraordinary milestone of America's 250th anniversary.

For 250 years, our nation has been shaped by the courage, resilience and determination of those who believed in defending our God-given right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Whether you're gathering with family, watching fireworks, hosting a backyard BBQ, spending the day at the beach or doing all of the above, please join me in taking a moment to pause and reflect on the incredible journey that brought us all here. May we each find our own way to honor those who came before us, who chose to raise their hands to assemble, develop, document and defend this perfectly imperfect place.

Congratulations to my buyer, Karen, on her new home in Little Egg Harbor.

I first met Karen and her family through a recommendation from a fellow real estate agent. I went up against four other agents to have the honor and privilege of being selected to represent her on her home sale. When it came time for Karen to purchase her next home, I was delighted that she asked The Petti Real Estate Group to represent her again on the buyer’s side.

Her new home is a sweet little slice of heaven at the Jersey Shore and just a hop, skip, and a jump away from the bay and the beach.

Today, I'm asking everyone who reads this post to take a moment and remember that Memorial Day is about so much more than scoring good deals on sales, getting a long weekend off from work, boating, backyard BBQs, or relaxing at the beach.

This photo, taken at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia, is a powerful reminder of the true meaning behind today--sacrifice, loss, valor, and remembrance.

Memorial Day is a day to pause and reflect on the brave men and women who gave everything for our freedom, and to honor the families who carry that sacrifice with them every single day.

Today, I'm especially grateful to those near and dear to me who chose to serve: my dad, Bob; my brothers, Bob and Brian; my father-in-law, Lou; my Uncle Pat; my brother-in-law, Shel and my sister-in-law's dad, Tom. Although none of them were lost in battle, all of them stood as brothers in arms with some who were. They served this country with courage and integrity.

May we never forget those who made the ultimate sacrifice, soldiers known and unknown, and may we carry their memory with us no matter where we are or how we spend this Memorial Day.

Congratulations to my buyer, Nick, on the purchase of his first home.

It’s the best feeling in the world to work with friends and family, especially when Michaelina and I are entrusted to help them land their first home. We loved the whole experience, from beginning to end: the Open House tours, the Saturday morning showings, storytime at Starbucks, reviewing comps and talking strategy while navigating the many exciting, nuanced, hilarious and challenging aspects of the home buying journey.

Nick did a lot of his own due diligence and research and had a voracious appetite for learning how the whole home buying process works. He asked questions, listened, absorbed and applied everything we shared with him. It was a wonderful experience working with him and his better half, Himani.

Thank you to Sheryl and Eric, the coolest deal-clinching cousins ever! Special thanks to buyer’s agent, Christina, Dennis and team from Fairway Independent Mortgage, and Renata and Dina from Your Hometown Title.

As Easter arrives and spring begins to bloom, it's a beautiful reminder of fresh starts, new beginnings and the magic of renewal. There's something special about this season, the sense of hope, growth and possibility that comes with longer days and warmer weather.

I want to take a moment to wish you and your loved ones a joyful and meaningful Easter filled with peace, happiness and time spent with those who matter most to you. I'm also incredibly grateful for your continued trust in me. What an honor and a pleasure it’s been to help my wonderful client Karen, and her family, sell their beautiful home at 119 Bengal Blvd in Barnegat.
