Final Walk-Through: What Actually Happens

Before closing, the buyer does one last look at the home. Here’s what they’re checking: agreed repairs were completed, all appliances & inclusions are still in place, no new damage like a couch scuffing a wall on moving day, that utilities are on and working, and that the home is clean and broom-swept (better in our case!)

As the seller’s broker, my job is to make sure there are no surprises. Before the buyers’ walk-through, Charlene’s Cleaning Service has spent hours in the kitchen, inside the fridge, focusing on bathrooms and floors. We made sure all the above is in order, too.

A smooth walk-through = a smooth settlement.

That’s the standard I hold for every family I represent.
