It was such a wonderful experience helping these first-time homebuyers find their dream home in Germantown/Mt. Airy! It was also quite the whirlwind experience--in the best possible way. Through ongoing conversations about their hopes, dreams, and concerns, and with a bit of pivoting and serendipity, they are now the proud owners of a beautiful home that allows them to grow with and stay in the neighborhood and community that they love.

I'm so grateful to have been a part of their journey.

Special thanks to , lender extraordinaire, for her hard work, professionalism, and expertise!

One of the best things about owning a home is enjoying your home, whether that means sprucing up the interior, gardening outside, enjoying a movie curled up on the couch in pajamas and under blankets, or cooking a fabulous meal for family and friends. And what better way to enjoy your home than by living a long, healthy life in it?

We’ve been told all our lives that doing certain things will help us live longer. Eat plenty of vegetables. Avoid sugar. Drink lots of water. Exercise regularly. We can hear our mother’s voice right now. These habits are definitely more helpful than harmful, and longevity expert Dan Buettner agr...

What are some ways you like to add zest and pop to your space?

The curse of too much matching can result in a bland, monotone space that risks becoming quickly forgettable.

My dear colleagues Deb Stanitz and are listing this treasure in Philadelphia's Manayunk neighborhood. This Traditional-style home built in 1887 has been lovingly maintained and thoughtfully expanded over the years to maintain its original character while incorporating green technology to address contemporary needs and imbuing it with a modern sensibility. Original wood paneling and built-in floor-to-ceiling bookshelves. A built-in home theater. Radiant floor heating. Panoramic views of Manayunk and the distant skyline. A roof deck directly off of the primary bedroom featuring a solar panel system that also acts as a shade awning (even generating enough electricity to sell back to the power company). A sound system wired throughout the entire home. Lush terraced gardens, thoughtfully arranged and landscaped. And everyone's favorite: ample, off-street parking!

While these times may feel volatile or uncertain, both locally and globally, a trusted Realtor can help navigate these choppy waters.

Fannie Mae’s latest sentiment survey shows that more consumers think mortgage rates will rise. And home sales activity is expected to remain “relatively light.”

Spring is just around the corner! And March has sure come in like the proverbial lion. Before it goes out like a lamb, here are some ideas for those of you who want to refresh or update your space amid your spring cleaning.

I can't say that I've ever given much thought to wallpapering the ceiling (no. 11, pictured here) but it certainly photographs well. And it's also made of wood.

What trends resonate with you?

Hello friends! My name is Anam Owili-Eger (he/him), REALTOR® with Elfant Wissahickon REALTORS, based in Philadelphia. I bring over two decades' worth of knowledge and professional relationships cultivated from my time in the creative sector and financial service industries to EWR. I consider myself a tenacious researcher, dedicated problem solver, and a lifelong learner with what feels like an endless desire for knowledge.

I enjoy listening to the hopes, dreams, and concerns of my clients. It is important to me to foster relationships where open communication, compassion, and clarity thrive because as part of a wondrous, interconnected human community, it enriches us all. I find great fulfillment in keeping my clients as informed and educated as possible.

I love Philadelphia and am committed to serving the people throughout the area to the best of my ability. I have deep roots in the areas now considered Northwest Philadelphia and Lower Montgomery County. One of my ancestors was Humphrey Morrey, the first mayor of Philadelphia, appointed by William Penn in 1691. Portraits of more recent ancestors, Hiram Charles Montier and Elizabeth Brown Montier, are on display in the Philadelphia Museum of Art, both painted in 1841 by Franklin R. Street.

I graduated from Central High School, the second-oldest continuously public high school in the country, with a Bachelor of Arts (the only HS in the country allowed to confer degrees) and later graduated from Swarthmore College with a BA in sociology and anthropology.

I am strongly committed to social justice and am grateful to serve on the Board of Trustees for Unitarian Universalists of Mount Airy. Also a composer and pianist, I enjoy singing and performing throughout the area in my spare time. I love biking and hiking in the Wissahickon Valley, having spent much of my childhood doing so. I also love any and every Philadelphia sports team. GO BIRDS!

I believe that anything we do in service of another or to help someone is customer service, and I am committed to providing the highest and best. I would be honored to provide you my expertise and service.
