On this solemn day, we pause to honor all those lost on September 11, 2001, the heroes who ran toward danger, the thousands whose lives were forever changed, and the resilience of a nation that 24 years ago refused to be broken. Their memory demands more than reflection, it calls on us for change.
And we are faced with another tragedy. Charlie Kirk, a prominent activist who built influence among young people, was fatally shot yesterday during a public appearance. Charlie was a family man who believed deeply in conservative values, freedom of speech, and his unwavering support of Israel. His voice, whether you agreed or disagreed with him, impacted countless lives and inspired a new generation to speak up for what you believe in. He showed how powerful one person can truly be.
Today we must resolve in our shared humanity, and courage to stand against hatred and violence in all its forms. Where do we go from here?
