Still accepting nominations for the 2026 Neighborhood Leadership Cohort until Friday!

The Mantua Powelton Alliance in partnership with City of Philadelphia's Division of Criminal Justice and Community Empowerment Opportunity office is launching a 2026 Neighborhood Leadership Cohort pilot program to engage and train an intergenerational group of residents to share power with local government and create real solutions in our community.

Who Can Apply: Mantua and Powelton Village (19104) residents :

Youth and young adults (ages 12-24)
Adult caregivers (ages 18+)
Seniors (ages 50+)
What You'll Do: Learn skills in racial equity, community advocacy, and civic engagement. Help build solutions to our community's biggest challenges around housing, jobs, food access, healthcare, and education.

When: February–May 2026

Bi-weekly meetings (in-person and online options)
One weekend retreat
Compensation: $250/month stipend plus meals, childcare, and transportation support
