I found myself this past week telling someone that you are the reason I’m doing what I’m doing. And if I’m being honest, I had forgotten that.
✨I needed that reminder. When the world tells us that children are a burden and having more will just spread your resources thin, God tells us that children are a blessing. When I made the leap into business full-time, this little girl right here was only a few months old and if I’m being honest, I was scared. Scared I wouldn’t be able to provide for her, scared she would watch me fail, scared I would have to go back to teaching and put her in daycare full time.
✨But here we are, baby girl. Five years later and going strong! I get to listen to you tell strangers that you’re homeschooled and beam with pride when you tell them that I’m your teacher. You don’t tell them about the days that we have skipped our lessons or the times where I got frustrated with you. You don’t tell them about the days that I feel like I didn’t get enough time with you because I was working too much. You are such a blessing!
✨I’m here showing up every day because I believe that you don’t have to give up a career or a business or a life outside the home to also be a good mother, present and loving to your children. Sometimes that business is built SO that you can spend time with your children. Sometimes that thing outside the home is holding you together SO you can be a good mom. No guilt, just living the life the Lord has placed in my lap and hoping I can inspire even just one mom who’s in the same position.
