So today is World Mental Health Day. I wanted to take the time to speak about my own journey with mental health.
Mental health is the unseen disease/illness everyday people struggle with and unfortunately die from. It is something I struggle with on a daily basis. I cope with Clinical and Bipolar Depression, Manic Depression, General Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and PTSD.
Every day is a struggle to get out of bed and do everyday normal life things; i.e. work, reading, cooking, etc. But we are not alone. The key is to surround yourself with people who love and support you through the fight. Goals also motivate me. One of my short term daily goals is to "Make life my bitch everyday".
For all of those who struggle with a mental illness, you are not alone and keep fighting on. ππ
