Look at the disparity in these team sizes. To the left with a team triple our size. They are a very expensive private school in the valley that has an unbelievable amount of resources and money at their disposal. Lacrosse is not a sanctioned sport in AZ so the rest of us have to scrape up funding and support for these boys to play on a club team at their local high schools. Needless to say Brophy dominates the local league however they are also notoriously dirty with constant illegal hits and penalties resulting in far too frequent serious injuries to the other teams. Hits are a huge part of lacrosse but illegal hits are the WEAKEST form of play. Brophy is a Jesuit school with the opposite of Jesuit values for sportsmanship on display. ILLEGAL hits resulting in concussions, lacerated kidneys and other terrible injuries should not be occurring to this magnitude/so incredibly frequently in games. It is your coaching staff’s responsibility to reduce and eliminate this!!! Do better!!!! Why does a school and team of your magnitude need to play dirty or be allowed to repeatedly incur flagrant penalties causing serious injuries?? I’m disgusted and I hope more parents in valley can band together in asking Brophy lacrosse to be accountable. Our boys deserve better in opponents and the upcoming youth deserve better examples. You have so many talented kids and a great head coach but something is seriously wrong.
