Meet Your Mentor

Jay Freestone was born in Utah in a small town called Vernal, he grew up working in his grandfather and father’s construction business for many years. Construction related projects are where he feels most at home! He moved to Arizona in 2016, obtained his Home Inspection license in 2017. He has been performing residential and commercial property inspections as well as offering parallel instruction since 2018 throughout the valley ever since. When he is not inspecting properties, he can be found enjoying DIY projects around the house, taking in our local hiking trails around Arizona, hitting the slopes at Snowbowl, camping, white water rafting, traveling, and exploring off the beaten path destinations across the state. Jay is very detail oriented and prides himself in a job well done, which he attributes to the impeccable values and work ethic he inherited from his upbringing and construction business. Jay is also our lead field training inspector at Protect Property Inspections & Arizona Parallels. He can take up to 4 students/applicants with him on parallel inspections.

Meet your Mentor:

Richard (Ric) Wiederhold served 7 years active duty in the United States Marine Corps.
He became a licensed home inspector in 2015 and has since completed over 3000 Home inspections in AZ.

In 2016 he became a trainer within the company providing parallels for home inspector applicants.
In 2018, he achieved the certification of, Certified Master Inspector.
In 2020, he ventured off starting and growing Voyager Home Inspections into the successful company he calls his own.
In early 2022, he started teaching at Inspector Career Training Academy. He has taught multiple subjects for numerous students.

“I love teaching nearly as much as I love inspecting. I hope I get the opportunity to pass along to you a bit of the knowledge I've picked up over the course of my career. Becoming a trainer so early in my career allowed me to be able to see from both sides (teacher/student) and still reminds me there is always new things to learn.”

This is Joe Grijalva. Joe has been a licensed home inspector for over 3 years. Before that, Joe worked for QT as a commercial quality control inspector. beyond residential and commercial property inspections, Joe is also certified in mold testing, air quality testing, sewer camera inspection, and drone inspection.

We provided Home Inspection students here in Arizona 516 opportunities for parallel inspections (state requires 30 pre-licensing) in Q3. Q4 is already off to a great start at 184 opportunities.

51 inspections X 4 students per inspection = 204 opportunities for Arizona Home inspector students to sign up for!
