Born in Pittsburgh, I moved to Arizona in 1960 with my parents and grew up in Scottsdale. Growing up the eldest of seven kids my family also had a menagerie of animals. We had dogs (many), cats (many), horses, donkeys, roosters, birds of all types, ferrets, guinea pigs, hamsters, iguanas, lizards, snakes (including an 18-foot, 240 lb. Burmese python), mice, rats, raccoons, skunks, rabbits, fish, a
variety of owls and hawks. At any given time, I believe we had the entire food chain. It was certainly entertaining and there was never a dull moment. To this day I love animals of all kind. I became involved in parrot rescue and education. Piece by piece we emptied our family room of all furniture to accommodate yet another cage of the latest rescue. Being unable to resist falling in love with any parrot (or any other animal in need of a home) my husband and I ended up with 13 parrots of all sizes and no family room furniture. In
addition, we forfeited one bedroom for the birds to have their own bedroom and sleep cages. I had to quit taking in parrots with the idea I would re-home them. Clearly, I cannot re-home. After 20 years I now refer folks to a larger local rescue. Currently, my husband and I have 2 of the original parrots and 3 dogs. Two of the dogs came to us right off the street and one from the Arizona Humane Society. My previous careers include mobile home and home improvement financing, a residential loan officer and an escrow officer among others, all centered around the real estate industry in one way or another. In 2003 I became a real estate agent. I found my niche! I love knowing I am truly making a positive difference in peoples lives. I give my all and go the extra mile (or two or three) to provide the best possible buying and/or selling experience for each and every one of my clients. My greatest gratification comes from my clients & satisfaction with the service I provide them and their confidence that they had an excellent transaction.
