CoStar Group is acquiring Zonda for $800 million in cash. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2026.

Zonda serves more than 3,000 customers across the homebuilding ecosystem, including many of the largest residential builders, developers, suppliers and lenders in North America. The platform offers end-to-end solutions spanning land acquisition, development planning, homebuilding analytics, construction forecasting, community marketing and operational workflow management.

🏜️ Scottsdale is the No. 11 city in the United States to raise a family, according to the annual report from WalletHub.

The finance site ranked 180 U.S. cities based on metrics like housing costs, school quality, healthcare, recreation and fun to determine the best places for families with children of all ages.

🥇Scottsdale ranked as the top city in Arizona and the 11th-best city in the country.
Overall, Scottsdale ranked ninth for socioeconomics and 10th for affordability — the city has the second-highest median family salary in the U.S. when adjusted for cost of living.

🏜️ Surprise is the third-most affordable city in the United States to purchase a home, according to an annual report from WalletHub.

Looking at 300 U.S. cities, the finance site analyzed housing prices, insurance costs, tax rates, vacancies and more and found that Surprise ranks third in the country, behind only Flint, Michigan, and Detroit.

🥇 Among midsize cities, Surprise ranks No 1.

Builder confidence saw a modest bump in May, but affordability challenges continue to weigh heavily on the housing market, according to new survey from the National Association of Home Builders. 🏗️📊

🌞 Americans are prioritizing sunlight in their home search, with 44% saying they would choose a smaller home with more sunlight over a larger home with less sunlight, according to a Redfin report.

The findings come as Redfin launched Sunscore, a property level score that tells home searchers exactly how much natural light a home receives from 0 to 100.

☀️ 69% percent of U.S. residents reported that the amount of sunlight in their home impacts how satisfied they are with their living situation.
🌻 54% of baby boomers prefer sunlight over space, reflecting the largest share of any generation.
🌅 48% of residents in the Midwest also prefer smaller, brighter homes.
