The Geoholics Team recently got back from the Commercial UAV Expo, and Compliance was a huge topic talked about at the show.

Phoenix Lidar Systems was at this show as well, so when Rob Dannenberg joined us for Episode 290, the topic came up once again ... especially how there is a lot of misinformation around it.

Rob talks about the consequences of this misinformation, so if you want to take a deeper dive into LiDAR, Drones, and NDAA Compliance, definitely check out the full episode on our website, YouTube channel, or wherever you access the show!

***NEW EPISODE ALERT - ROB DANNENBERG & PHOENIX LIDAR***
This week, we sit down with Rob Dannenberg, President of Phoenix Lidar Systems and an early adopter who helped push UAS and LiDAR from experimental technology into powerful, real-world mapping solutions.

We dig into what “survey-grade LiDAR” really means, where acquisition and processing workflows most often break down, and why successful results depend on far more than sensor specifications. Rob also shares his perspective on custom LiDAR integration, flexible multi-platform systems, NDAA compliance, dependable customer support, and the opportunities created by Phoenix LiDAR Systems joining Revolution Geosystems.

Then we put autonomous missions, AI-powered point-cloud classification, real-time onboard processing, next-generation positioning and the commoditization of LiDAR sensors to the ultimate test: Bullsh*t, Breakthrough or Too Soon to Tell?

Add a Leica Geosystems Pro Tip, “I Need to Know” by Arizona rockers The Black Moods and plenty of Geoholics-style conversation—and you’ve got an episode you won’t want to miss!

Tune in, buckle up and join the conversation!

As you know, we are huge music fans, so we were excited to support the Phoenix Boys Choir at their annual golf outing 'Fore The Love Of Music'.

We had a blast on the course and ending up taking 1st place in the tournament!

It was all for a great cause, as the Phoenix Boys Choir does a great job of helping to build young men of character through the power of music.

Fun fact: they've won TWO Grammy Awards!
