The Best Day with My Best Girls 💖 Supporting a Cause Close to My Heart

I love every woman in this photo. It’s true what they say—you’re a reflection of the people you surround yourself with. I’m lucky this is my tribe. (IG would only let me tag 20 people and I couldn’t exclude any of you!)

Each year, my gals come together to support a cause that means the world to me: women’s empowerment. I’ve been encouraged to share why this cause is so special to me, so here’s a brief blip of my story...

I was born in 1991 to a 17-year-old single mother. Still in high school, my mom juggled her studies with a job at our local Roses (iykyk), and did everything she could to provide for me. But hard work alone wasn’t always enough. Between abusive relationships and raising my younger brother, we were fortunate to receive assistance and income-based housing. Those times weren’t easy, and looking back, I know an organization like could have been life-changing for my mom and our family.

Fresh Start doesn’t just empower women; they change entire families. Majority of women who walk through the doors are single mothers. By helping mothers build better futures through legal support, financial coaching, and career development, they break cycles of hardship. When moms are given the tools to succeed, their children thrive too. A mother’s success impacts not just her own life, but her children’s opportunities and outlook for generations to come.

It means everything to have my people by my side, supporting something so close to my heart.

Success story— A client was referred to me by an agent after experiencing significant delays with their previous lender. Then, at the final hour on their new closing day, the previous lender denied the buyer based on not knowing how to properly structure income with ownership in their company. Within 4 business days we were clear to close including ordering a new appraisal. We are SO happy for our new client for life and our agent partners!

Funny to think just a few months ago Tom and I were in an empty office with white bare walls manifesting what our group would feel like, and now here we are…

The first key member was Wendy. With 25 years of processing experience, poise and a go-getter attitude - she was the perfect addition to manage all the ins and outs of the brokerage. I’m so grateful and love having her by my side everyday.

Now today, a friend and seasoned LO, , joined us! Ashley already has a great business in Arizona and Texas. She has also been incredibly inspirational in launching Together as a group, I can’t wait to see what the next level looks like for her! It’s amazing to have a fellow female LO with alignment in creating a space for women in the industry alongside us at PLG. So, so excited to have Ashley on board.

Looking forward to watching the continued evolution of what is already a dream team!

If you listen to real estate news and the stories we tell ourselves in this current market cycle, you will convince yourself the sky is falling. But the truth is, homes are still continuing to appreciate and there are RE professionals winning in this market. Fear driven narratives create insecurities. My biggest piece of advice to you if you want to be a winner is to surround yourself with winners and those who are seeing opportunities in this cycle.
