🏡 Being Informed Helps Me Better Serve My Clients
Real estate is about more than buying and selling homes. Decisions made at the local and state level can directly affect **homeownership, property rights, housing affordability and our communities.**
I recently attended the 2026 Arizona REALTORS® Caucus, an opportunity for REALTORS® from across Arizona to come together, learn about current legislative issues, hear from policymakers and discuss matters affecting homeowners and the real estate industry.
The Caucus also helped me better understand the important role of RAPAC, the REALTORS® of Arizona Political Action Committee. Participation and investment in RAPAC are voluntary, but its work helps give REALTORS® a voice in the legislative process, supporting issues that benefit property owners and the real estate industry and advocating against proposals that could negatively impact them.
This year's discussions included property rights, deed-fraud prevention, HOA reform, housing affordability, water policy, construction permitting and other issues that can ultimately affect Arizona homeowners.
One of the highlights was recognizing REALTORS® who voluntarily invest in RAPAC and understand the importance of making sure our industry has a voice when decisions are being made.
For me, attending programs like the Arizona REALTORS® Caucus is part of continuing to grow as a REALTOR®. I want to understand not only what is happening in today's real estate market, but also what is happening behind the scenes that could affect my clients tomorrow.
The more informed I am, the better prepared I am to educate, guide and advocate for the people I serve. And that is an investment I believe is worth making.
