Day 1: Japan!

I’ve learned a lot of new things in Japan & it’s only day 1 of traveling (yes day 1, a video explaining more will come later) … i will say the pre-planning helped ALOT.

Although some of the tips I took where from others on TikTok & more! I did notice a big difference when traveling as a family and tips I wished someone shared sooner. And I’m here to learn & share along the way.

Tips that are true & a lie…

1. The Go (taxi app) is true! It’s way cheaper than uber & very convenient to use. The drivers have been so nice. However, most cars can be small, & I noticed in some area we where able to request a larger sized car, other areas you where left with what you got. So if there is more than 5, be warned it can be challenge to travel with them if you don’t bring another adult along with you.

2. The train station is not as simple as people make it out to be. Anyone with kids understands the stress of going out with them. I had so many couples claim it was easier yet the many couples we ran into had just as hard of a time as we did. Once you get through it once, it’ll make a lot more sense!

3. Packing can be tricky. But definitely pack for the weather. We came as many of you know early October, we had so many locals tell us it’s cold, but humid & warm during the day. For us it’s been hot. Even at night, although cooler & fresh. We haven’t felt like using our jackets once. So dress according to how you may feel not what others tell you.
