US mortgage lending activity is dropping, here's why...

There were 2.71 million mortgages secured in quarter one which was an 18% decrease from quarter four of 2021. This decrease was the largest since 2017.

Lenders issued $892.4 billion worth of mortgages in quarter one which was a drop of 17%.

Experts have said that these decreases are from mortgage rates going from all-time lows to big increases in the past few weeks.

PV Mall is also undergoing a huge redevelopment!!

Mike Elbert, managing partner at RED, says that it will be a mix of retail, restaurant, outdoor spaces, housing, and employment. Phase one of the PV mall is set to open in mid-2024.

The first phase will include a 400 residence luxury apartment, Whole Foods Market, a Harkins Dine-In Theater, and numerous upscale restaurants!

Phoenix just approved a 1 billion dollar redevelopment of the 50-year-old Metrocenter Mall!

The mall is located at the southwest corner of I-17 and Peoria Avenue which is an area that's seen a lot of growth these past few years.

Once the development is finalized it will consist of 2,800 multifamily units, 383,000 square feet of retail and commercial space, a park, and up to nine parking garages!

Phoenix business journal says the whole project should be finished around 2029! Hopefully, there will be more info about this soon!

They even found out what the best day to sell was... Today! May 23rd is the best day of the year to sell your home. Homes on this day sell for 18.3% more than their estimated market value!
