Selling one Phoenix home while buying another? The move itself can become the most stressful: and expensive: part of the plan when no one coordinates the handoffs.
Before moving day, make sure you have a plan for:
Utilities: Schedule shutoffs and turn-ons with overlap so you’re not without service.
Temporary storage: Have a backup location ready if possession dates shift.
Possession dates: Closing day and moving day are not always the same.
Movers: Book early, confirm arrival windows, and identify a backup option.
Insurance: Make sure coverage is active at the right property on the right date.
Documents: Stay ahead of signatures, lender requests, and delivery deadlines.
Contingencies: Know what happens if a closing is delayed, a repair takes longer, or the new home is not available when expected.
A successful transition is more than opening the front door. It’s coordinating the details between leaving one home and starting life in the next.
