🏖️ MISSISSIPPI BEACH STATUS UPDATE
Sand Open • Some Water Advisories Active

The beaches themselves are not closed. The sand remains open for sunbathing, walking, and beach activities. However, MDEQ has issued Water Contact Advisories for select areas due to elevated Enterococci bacteria levels, often caused by heavy rain and stormwater runoff.

⚠️ WHAT A WATER CONTACT ADVISORY MEANS
• Avoid swimming or wading in the affected water
• Sand areas remain open
• Advisories are lifted once bacteria levels return to safe limits

📍 CURRENT BEACH CONDITIONS

🔴 Biloxi
• Advisory: Biloxi East Central Beach — Station 12B
• Area: St. Peter Street east to Dukate Street
• Biloxi West Central: Clear

🔴 Gulfport
Active advisories include:
• East Courthouse Road Beach — Station 10B
• Gulfport West Beach — Station 8
• Gulfport Harbor Beach — Station 9

🟢 Pascagoula
• No active advisories
• Water conditions are currently clear for swimming and wading
