Do you or someone you live with have a disability?
What do you feel is classified as a disability? Is it someone who is confined to a wheel chair or crutches? Or is it someone who has trouble climbing stairs? Someone who is blind or hard of hearing? Or someone who is losing their hearing? Or someone who has a birth defect?

I personally say it is all the above and more.. I also believe, as I get older and wiser, that everyone will experience a time when they have a disability. People with torn rotator cuffs, any kind of surgery, and the older you are on this earth, the more you will experience.

There are a lot of moving parts to consider when your focus is on more than just finding a home to live in.

Do you have someone who has a disability living in your home or close by that you care for? Does that disability figure into what home you choose when looking for a home to live in?

THINGS YOU DON'T THINK ABOUT WHEN BUYING A HOME:

1. Are you planning on a fixer-upper? No fixes? Perfect as you move in?
IF it is a fixer-upper, remember the bank has a say on howTil much fixing they will allow. Your future home should have running water with no leaks anywhere, windows that go up and down ; a working furnace, and a roof that has at least 3 years of life left in it. Pipes should be coper or PVC.

2.Things to look for before the inspection time:
Does it have a place to store your coats? Is there enough room in the bed rooms for your beds?
Any bowing of walls if there is a basement?
Any cement sidewalks need replaced? Depending on where you live, that could be your responsibility.
Are the floors level?
