When I first saw this announcement, I thought it was a joke.

But Ohio State is actually opening its exhibition schedule outside against Cincinnati this October.

The game will be played on Center Court at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason, Ohio as part of the CareSource Invitational, which raises awareness and funding for youth mental health and su***de prevention.

Personally, I think this has the potential to become one of the coolest traditions in college basketball.

Am I crazy, or should Ohio State make this an annual event?

And if you know someone who’s already planning to get tickets, make sure they see this before they’re announced.

For the last few years, the conversation has been about what buyers couldn’t do. ⬇️

High mortgage rates.

Low inventory.

Homes that didn’t fit people’s budgets.

That’s why this new report from the National Association of REALTORS® caught my attention.

They ranked Columbus as one of the country’s Top 10 housing markets for 2026—not because homes are suddenly inexpensive, but because more of the right pieces are starting to come together.

✔️ Household incomes are rising.

✔️ Jobs continue to grow.

✔️ More homes are hitting the market at price points local buyers can actually afford.

✔️ An estimated 41,000 more households could qualify to buy a median-priced home if mortgage rates ease to 6%.

That doesn’t mean every buyer’s challenges disappear overnight.

But it does suggest the market is becoming more balanced than it has been in the last few years.

As someone who follows the Central Ohio market every day, I found that encouraging.

The easiest things for home buyers to notice are usually the easiest things to change... ⬇️

Think paint colors, countertops, and light fixtures.

The things that matter most usually aren’t.

When I walk through a home with buyers, I’m paying close attention to:

✔️ The layout
A beautiful kitchen won’t fix a floor plan that doesn’t fit the way you actually live.

✔️ How the home flows
How you move from room to room can make a home feel effortless—or frustrating.

✔️ Storage
Not having enough storage is something most people don’t realize until after they’ve moved in.

✔️ Natural light
A home can feel completely different at 6 p.m. than it does during a midday showing.

✔️ Potential resale value
Even if you plan to stay for years, life changes. I’m always thinking about how appealing this home will be to the next buyer.

✔️ Signs of deferred maintenance
I’m looking for signs the home hasn’t been well maintained.

Beautiful finishes are a bonus.

But my goal is to help my buyers make a decision they’ll feel good about long after closing day.

Well, it’s making a comeback and Easton is one of the first places in the country to get the new concept.

Instead of reopening as a standalone store, Bed Bath & Beyond has returned through a new Bed Bath & Beyond + The Container Store concept at Easton.

Easton is one of the first 22 locations nationwide to launch this new concept, and currently the only one in Ohio.

Keep in mind these are median sales prices, meaning half the homes sold for more and half sold for less. Your home’s value could be higher or lower depending on its location, size, condition, and features.

Every year someone asks me,

“What’s the best thing to do around Columbus for the Fourth of July?”

So instead of sending the same text message over and over, I put together my favorites.

My opinion?

Skip trying to do everything.

Pick one event that fits the kind of day you want.

🎸 Want a big concert? Go to Dublin or Hilliard.

🎆 Want the biggest fireworks? Red, White & BOOM! is hard to beat.

🚤 Want a more laid-back evening? Head to Buckeye Lake.

🎭 Want something you won’t find anywhere else? Don’t miss the Doo Dah Parade.

One of my favorite parts of living in Central Ohio is that you can have a completely different Fourth of July experience depending on where you go—and none of it is more than a short drive away.
