⚠️ FBI ALERT: SALT TYPHOON HACK ⚠️
Hackers linked to China have broken into phone, internet, and even government systems in 80+ countries. Over 1 million people’s private information has been stolen.

Why it matters for seniors:
📱 Your phone calls, emails, and online accounts could be at risk.
🏡 Senior living communities are frequent targets because many residents share the same networks.
💳 Stolen data can lead to scams, fraud, or identity theft.

How to Stay Safe:
🔐 Use secure, encrypted apps for calls & messages
🛡️ Turn on two-step verification (MFA) for accounts
💻 Keep your phone, tablet, and computer updated
🚫 Don’t click suspicious links or attachments
👀 Ask staff or family for help if something looks unusual

Seniors & communities must act now to stay protected.

🍽️ Picture this: You’re at your favorite restaurant, waiting for your meal. You connect to the “Guest Wi-Fi” to scroll social media or check your bank balance. Feels safe enough, right?

But here’s the risk—public and guest networks are wide open doors. Hackers with simple tools can sit on the same network and quietly capture logins, credit card info, or personal messages.

🔒 A VPN changes the game. It encrypts your connection so your data is secure—even when you’re on unsecured restaurant, hotel, or coffee shop Wi-Fi.

💡 Question for you: When you connect to restaurant or guest Wi-Fi, do you use a VPN, or do you just take the chance?

🔒 Standard ISP security agreements only go so far.
They cover the basics—protecting data from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. But they stop short of offering advanced protections like encryption, monitoring, or managed firewalls.

Meanwhile, data breaches are making headlines daily—from the Tea app leak to AI-powered scams and ransomware attacks.

💡 Here’s the question: Should we value and actively protect our own data, or is it someone else’s responsibility to do it for us?

🚨 Protecting our seniors from fraud is crucial! 💔 This heartbreaking case in Muskogee highlights how vulnerable individuals, like an 85-year-old man with dementia, can be targets of scams. Let's spread awareness to help keep our communities safe! 🤝 "

U.S. Marshals have arrested a woman in Muskogee who is charged with stealing a house from a woman in Tulsa through fraud.
Investigators from the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office have connected Briana Points to two fraud cases: one involving the theft of the house and another in which she, along with three other suspects, is accused of stealing over $100,000 from an 85-year-old man suffering from dementia.

⚠️ Beware of AI voice scams! 🚨 Scammers are using AI to mimic voices to trick people into sending money or sharing sensitive info. Stay vigilant! Verify identities before taking any action. Trust but verify, folks! 💡
