Who says your dog has to stay home while you explore the Smokies? 🐶🏔️
If you’re bringing your four-legged family member to Gatlinburg, add these spots to your list:
🐕 Gatlinburg SkyPark — Dogs are welcome at the SkyPark at no charge. They can ride the yellow SkyLift with you and explore the mountaintop as long as they’re leashed and under your control.
🌲 Gatlinburg Trail — One of only two trails in Great Smoky Mountains National Park where dogs are allowed. It’s a beautiful 1.9-mile one-way trail along the Little Pigeon River.
🍎 The Apple Barn & Cider Mill — Your pup can join you around the farm store, winery and outdoor areas while you enjoy some classic Smoky Mountain apple treats.
🌊 Smoky Mountain River Rat Tubing — For the adventurous pups! Dogs can tube with you on Outpost A’s dog-friendly route. Dogs must be under 50 lbs, comfortable in the water, able to swim and leashed. Bring your own doggy life jacket—they don’t provide them.
🌉 Foxfire Mountain Adventure Park — Bring your pup along for the Bridge to Prosperity and the hike toward Lost Mine Falls. It’s a great option for dogs who love exploring.
🛍️ The Village Shops — Stroll through this charming collection of shops in downtown Gatlinburg with your leashed pup. There are even pet-friendly stores where you can pick up something special for your best friend.
🔎 Want even more ideas? Check out BringFido before your trip. They currently list dozens of dog-friendly activities, restaurants and places to explore around Gatlinburg and Sevierville.
