Pinecrest Townhomes is trying to accommodate victims displaced by the fires.
Dear PFHTA members:
Many of you have been so gracious during this great time of need related to the recent wildfires in our area. The outpouring of assistance to those who are displaced or homeless during this tragedy has been exemplary! Thank you so very much.
In order to have a better idea of what both the short and long term housing needs will be, it would be very helpful if you could provide a listing of all the evacuees to assist them, that would be very helpful. I will be making calls to each lodging partner regarding this later today.
Also, We would like to help coordinate the efforts of the TBI to help reconnect friends, family and loved ones with evacuees and those that are missing during this event. We are being told that the quickest way to get this information to the TBI is through the Red Cross Safe and Well website, it is a quick and easy entry form but, will require online access; any help could provide in getting this information to your guests would be most helpful. https://safeandwell.communityos.org/cms/index.php
We at the PFHTA have worked tirelessly this week to ensure that the offers to house evacuees are received and coordinated through the Red Cross at the shelters. We are working hard to ensure we are assisting those with the greatest need first but, that all evacuees have safe place to stay. As more information becomes available, and folks are allowed back into their homes, we will likely get a better sense of what the short term lodging needs will be.
Please let anyone in need know about resources available to them at the following:
Community Resource/Distribution Center, in the former Boyds Bear building, at 149 Cates Lane is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Volunteers are welcome.
The Governor's office has worked with multiple state agencies and TEMA to provide resources for Sevier County residents, businesses, and those wanting to help. Information can be found at this site: http://www.tn.gov/governor/news/sevier-county-resource-page
If you would like to help or have a great idea on how we as an association can help with relief project please email us.
Again thank you for your support for our community and neighbors, we will have a long road to recovery but, with your support, we will recover. PFHTA is YOU!
