WE. ARE. READY.

To the leaders that have groomed us, to the members for their forthcoming support, and to the affiliates that have supported us from behind the scenes, thank you all!

One that focuses on a “ME” mentality often forgets about the “WE” and “US” portion of the team. While it is not always possible to make everyone happy, we can include input from surrounding members.

The position of First Vice President is not about me, it is about the membership, and it is about voting for who will best represent their interests. Needless to say, I plan to continue to represent the members’ best interests locally, state-wide, and nationally as I have been doing.

As the polls open tomorrow, remember to vote for US, vote to Embrace Change and Honor Traditions, and Vote Devin Cowell for First Vice President! We are ready!

Region 4 in Savannah

To the newly installed executive teams of Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee: congratulations, and I truly look forward to seeing what we are all able to accomplish next year. To Tennessee Women’s Council, leaders are made here, and thank you for exemplifying leadership for us to build upon.

To Kayla and Kristen, thank you for working to give Young Professionals Network a chance to showcase what we have to offer. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for Tennessee YPN!

To Ingrid and Aaron, thank you for allowing me to serve as the Local Network Group Leader for RRC in 2023 and 2024. I’m looking forward to our leadership retreat in December and another fantastic year in RRC.

And most importantly, to Regina Hubbard, our newly installed TN REALTORS president, THANK YOU for allowing me the opportunity to participate in your ceremony last night. You are going to do wonderful things, and I look forward to being right there with you as the TN REALTORS YPN chair for 2024. TOGETHER WE WIN!

Behind the Scenes of Association Decisions

Members can submit inquiries for change to the Association Executive, president, or relevant committee chair. These inquiries then make their way to The Board of Directors. This body reviews the inquiries and may involve committees for further investigation if needed.

Committees research, discuss, and assess the impact of potential changes, providing recommendations to the Board. The Board collectively makes the final decision. Fun fact: the president only votes in the event of a tie within the Board members.

Your Voice Matters

Your input is valuable to the association's growth and development. By submitting inquiries and participating in committees, you can actively contribute to shaping the association's future.

Get Involved

If you want to take it another step further, join the decision-making process by applying for committee involvement before December 1st. If I can discuss committees of interest with you or provide you with any additional info, please do reach out, and let’s get you set up!

GO VOLS!

Football season reminds me of my time at The University of Tennessee - Knoxville. As a UT Knoxville alumnus, I'm proud to bring my diverse educational background to contribute to our Association's success.

While my major was in Biological Sciences, my minor was in Business, which required me to complete courses in Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, and Business Management.

Our Association is a business, and together, we ensure the success of it. I plan to utilize my business education to serve as an asset and work toward our shared goals.

As your First Vice President and further, I will ensure our resources are effectively managed, we’ll work to expand our reach through strategic marketing initiatives, and we’ll make data-driven decisions guided by economic insights.

Let us unite our expertise and passion to make our Association a shining example of real estate excellence.

Together, we can and WILL achieve remarkable things. Devin Cowell for First Vice President. Voting begins October 23rd to October 27th. P.S. The orange jacket might make an appearance in Savannah!

Stability. Collaboration. Professionalism.

As REALTORS, we operate in a volatile and often fast-paced environment, and one that isn’t always the easiest to navigate.

The past few years have been challenging for our association and our industry. We have faced lawsuits, changes in leadership at NAR, and scandals. It is time that we come together and focus on healing, protection, and progress.

As first vice president and beyond, I plan to work together with all members to make our association and industry stronger. This is our career, and there is no room for unnecessary instability.

Having been involved and having fostered relationships at the local, state, and national levels, I have received incredible opportunities to be mentored by many excellent leaders in our industry. These opportunities have provided me with the experience, the skills, and the resources to lead our association through these challenging times.

Based on the outcomes of the lawsuits, we Realtors may have to pivot and be challenged by a new way to do business.

Clowning around with your friends can be fun, but you shouldn’t do it at the polls! October 23rd is coming soon, so don’t forget to VOTE for DEVIN!

Why RPAC and why did I become a Golden R President’s Circle member?

Did any of my REALTOR friends or affiliates work in 2020 or 2021 and close a transaction?
Congratulations, you can thank RPAC (and Hagan Stone) for that.

Has anyone been a part of a 1031 transaction in the last 3 years? (There are many in the GSMAR area.)
Congratulations, you can thank RPAC for that.

Has anyone here paid any impact fees or adequate facilities taxes lately? (You shouldn’t have.)
Congratulations, you can thank RPAC for that.

These are just a handful of reasons RPAC is important. When it comes to RPAC, I firmly believe the biggest hurdle we face is education. Unfortunately, there is an abundance of misinformation surrounding it, but with just a little bit of education, so much clarity can be obtained.

If you or any other REALTOR members or affiliates have any questions on RPAC, what it does, or who it supports, please do not hesitate to reach out. I would be happy to assist anyone that wants to discuss!

As I finish up showings today, prep for more over the weekend, and catch up from yesterday, I wanted to take a moment to thank the members for coming out to the Meet and Greet yesterday and taking time out of your day to talk with me about what we can do going forward in the association. If you did not have an opportunity to visit, please do not hesitate to reach out. I’d be happy to see what we can do to ensure your success within our association and your real estate career.

I also want to especially thank Karen George for her immense support and shoutout yesterday during the Women’s Council of REALTORS® installation in Knoxville. WCR says “Leaders are Made Here,” and Karen has done nothing but exemplify wonderful leadership in the time I have known her.

To the exiting WCR governing board, thank you for your time and attentiveness to the membership; you have certainly earned a chance to relax come December 1st. To the new governing board, congratulations on your new positions, and I look forward to watching you all next year! To the guests and members that approached me after, thank you for the conversations and support in my campaign!

Thank you to Ashley Sugar (right) with TN REALTORS® for providing me with the opportunity to be a TNPC, and thank you to Representative Elaine Davis (left) for continuing to be a REALTOR Champion!

Being a TNPC allows me to serve members by staying at the forefront of legislative updates, maintaining a pulse on topics to discuss with fellow REALTOR® members and affiliates, and connecting with local, state, and national legislators to further homeownership goals.

Tennessee Political Coordinators (TNPCs) play a key role in making sure our state legislators are informed on issues that matter to Tennessee REALTORS® AND homeowners.

TNPCs serve as advocates on behalf of all Tennessee REALTORS® members and ensure that legislators understand issues and concerns regarding the real estate industry and property rights.

Through fostering great relationships with legislators, TNPCs spearhead communication, ensuring the voices of Tennessee REALTORS® members and homeowners are heard and understood.

THANK YOU to the members that have have already voiced their support, the affiliates that have provided endorsements, and the rest of my REALTOR® Family that continues to be a reliable support system!
