🚘 It’s that time of year again in the Smokies… CAR SHOW SEASON! 🏁
And this weekend is the BIG ONE! The Pigeon Forge Rod Run is rolling into town, and you know what that means — beautiful classic cars, hot rods, cruisin’ the Parkway, and plenty of excitement all over Pigeon Forge! 🚗✨
If you’re staying with us at Goodnight Kisses this weekend, have a GREAT time enjoying the cars and everything going on around town.
❤️ Have fun, be patient with the traffic, and most importantly — be safe!
There’s nothing quite like Rod Run weekend in the Smokies! ⛰️🚘
🍂 This Week Around Sevier County: Sept. 14–20
This is one of those weeks where the calendar gets crowded fast.
🚗 The Fall Rod Run takes over Pigeon Forge later in the week
🛻 The F-100 Supernationals bring another big vehicle event to Sevierville
🎃 Dollywood’s Harvest Festival and Great Pumpkin LumiNights begin Monday
🎶 Dumplin Valley Bluegrass returns to Kodak
🚲 Cades Cove has another Vehicle-Free Wednesday
🚧 There are several traffic and road-work issues worth knowing about before you head out
🏈 Friday night football lands right in the middle of an already busy Pigeon Forge evening
💦 Splash Country wraps up its 2026 season next weekend
And yes, this week gets a full 5/5 on the Sevier County Chaos Predictor. Friday afternoon through Saturday is the stretch I’d plan around if you’d rather not spend quality time staring at brake lights. 😁
We also have this week’s local trivia, a Dolly Parton school tribute, the latest on the delayed Boyds Creek project, and a Plan Ahead section with several events coming up after this weekend.
If you’re trying to figure out when to visit, when to avoid Pigeon Forge, or what’s worth putting on the calendar, this week’s Digest should help.
