And remember — Fall Rod Run weekend, Sept. 17–19, is going to be BUSY! If you’re visiting Pigeon Forge that weekend, plan for heavy traffic and give yourself plenty of extra time.

🦖 Now – September 13 | Jurassic Adventure at The Island
The dinosaurs are still roaming The Island! Check out 22 animatronic dinosaurs, interactive displays and the special Jurassic-themed fountain show. Best part? It’s FREE!
🧟 September 11 – October 31 | Zombie Invasion at Rocky Top Mountain Coaster
Halloween arrives early as Rocky Top Mountain Coaster begins its spooky fall transformation!
🎃 September 14 – October 31 | Dollywood Harvest Festival & Great Pumpkin LumiNights
One of my favorite times of the year at Dollywood! More than 12,000 glowing pumpkins, Hoot Owl Hollow, the 40-foot Pumpkin Tree, Candy Corn Country, fall food, visiting artisans, live music and Great Pumpkin LumiNights after dark!
🚘 September 17–19 | Pigeon Forge Fall Rod Run
Here come the cars — and the traffic! 😂 The Fall Rod Run takes over the LeConte Center and the Parkway with show cars, vendors, a swap meet, awards and thousands of automotive enthusiasts.
🧩 September 21 | Sensory Day at WonderWorks
WonderWorks lowers the music and reduces stimulation on select exhibits to create a more sensory-friendly experience. The event runs from 4–8 PM.
🛍️ September 25 – October 24 | Pigeon Forge Rotary Club Craft Fair
The annual fall craft fair returns to Patriot Park with handmade crafts, gifts, fall décor and more. Admission AND parking are FREE!
🎶 September 25 | The Oak Ridge Boys
The legendary Oak Ridge Boys take the stage at Country Tonite Theatre at 8 PM!
🏃 September 25–27 | Run Dollywood Fall Race Weekend
Run through Dollywood during Harvest Festival! The weekend includes a nighttime 5K, 10K, Kids Fun Run and Half Marathon.
🎨 September 26 | Chalkfest at The Island
The sidewalks at The Island become works of art! This year’s theme is “Once Upon a Sidewalk.” The event is FREE to attend, with artists creating throughout the day and an awards ceremony that evening.
🎤 September 27 – October 3 | National Quartet Convention
One of the biggest Southern Gospel music events in the country returns to the LeConte Center for a full week of performances.
🍁 September is really when Pigeon Forge starts making that transition from summer into FALL — and by the end of the month, things are going to look a whole lot different around here!

A question for visitors who rent or bring street-legal carts to Pigeon Forge: How clearly are the road rules and passenger-safety requirements explained before you head out?
Seeing passengers riding without visible restraints, especially children, raises a serious concern. These carts are sharing streets with cars, trucks, and distracted drivers.
Pigeon Forge’s police guidance says street-legal carts must have seatbelts at every seating position, and passenger-restraint laws—including child-restraint laws—apply.
If you’ve rented one, did the company explain seatbelts, child restraints, and which roads you could legally use? If you bring your own, how do you check the local requirements?
Would clearer rental instructions, better signage, or more enforcement help? I’d like to hear from visitors, locals, and rental businesses.
