If you’re thinking about selling your home, these tips are for you 👇🏼

When you’re getting ready to list your home, I always recommend my clients do some things on the interior and exterior of the home to get it ready for buyers.

Let’s start with the exterior. You want your home to stand out and have the curb appeal buyers are looking for. It means less work for them and potentially more money for your home!

1️⃣ Check the trim of the home - walk around your home to see if any rotting wood needs to be replaced and where it needs to be cleaned.
*I highly recommend pressure washing to get all the dirt and cob webs that accumulate over time.

2️⃣ Touch up the the shutters and front door with a fresh coat of paint - again, less work for the potential buyers and more value on your home.

3️⃣ Add a fresh layer of pine straw or mulch to your flower beds. This always adds a little something extra to the curb appeal of the home.

4️⃣ Get a new welcome mat for the front door and add two potted plants next to the door. It’s another great way to make an impression to potential buyers.

These things take just a little time and money and can truly pay off in the end!

One of my goals this year is to increase my presence on social media.

This is to better serve people by providing information they need for buying and selling a home, as well as sharing the great things that are happening in real estate, the River Region and my hometown of Pike Road.

So with that in mind, I’ll start with an introduction so you can know a little more about me and why I love what I do each day.

For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Jeff Dickey and I live in Pike Road, AL. I’m married to my beautiful wife, Claire, and we have two kids, Clayton and Arden.

I am an Associate Broker with New Waters Realty and Team Leader for the New Home Sales Team at The Waters.

I’m also excited to serve as President-Elect for the Montgomery Area Association of Realtors and President of MLS for 2022.

I started a career in real estate after the process of building a few homes over the years and finding myself helping friends through the same process.
