This was the view from my office in Newark, NJ, on the morning of September 11, 2001. It’s hard to believe 25 years have passed, yet the memory of staring out the 16th-floor window in disbelief that day seems like yesterday.

Remembering the lives lost, the heroes, and all those forever changed. 🙏🏻

One of the many things I care about as a Realtor is helping my sellers find a meaningful home for the things they can no longer use. Whenever possible, I encourage donating, repurposing, and reusing—because what one person no longer needs can still bring comfort and care to someone else.

As an animal lover with a love language of giving, I was more than happy to bring my seller’s blankets, sheets, towels, unopened food, and bowls to a local animal shelter so they can be put to good use instead of going to waste.

This particular shelter holds special meaning, as it’s where my seller adopted her sweet furbaby (according to the cat box). Knowing that her belongings will now help comfort animals in the very place she once found her own, makes this moment feel especially full circle. ❤️

Everything was donated from the family with so much love, in memory of my seller and in honor of her sweet Shelly. 🐾❤️
