This week, several OCHAR members traveled to Washington, D.C. with CEO Ashley Johnson and OCHAR President Randy Voller to attend the 2026 NAR Legislative Meetings, joining REALTORS® from across the country to advocate for homeownership, private property rights, and issues impacting our industry. We were especially excited to see members take advantage of OCHAR’s Leadership Scholarship, which was created to help make important leadership and advocacy opportunities like this more accessible.

With the exception of some travel delays, this was an incredible trip and we are so grateful to our members who are passionate about making a difference. Keep up the good work! 🙌🏼

OCHAR was proud to be represented at this week’s NC Realtors Legislative Meetings in Raleigh! 🏛️

Our REALTOR® leaders joined colleagues from across North Carolina to advocate for policies that support homeownership, protect private property rights, and strengthen the communities we serve.

These important conversations with legislators and industry leaders help ensure that the voice of REALTORS® is heard on issues impacting our members, our businesses, and the future of real estate throughout our state.

Thank you to our dedicated OCHAR members who took the time to engage, learn, and advocate on behalf of our profession. Your commitment to REALTOR® advocacy helps make a difference for property owners and communities across Orange and Chatham counties.

This week OCHAR President Elect Tracy Wright, Ashley & Caroline went to visit 3 more firms - Keller Williams Elite Realty in Durham, Inhabit Real Estate in Chapel Hill and BOLD Real Estate in Chapel Hill! Tracy's dog Molly came along for the ride... she was living her best life in the BOLD office 😆 and of course we ended the afternoon at with acai bowls & coffee ☕️ We are having so much fun visiting all of our members!!

As we head into Memorial Day weekend, we want to take a moment to honor the heroes who made our freedoms possible.
