2025 - where to begin?
Part of me wants to tell you to get as far away from me as possible; the other part of me is a little leery of what 2026 has to offer.
In 2025, we lost Frank’s dad and his brother, leaving an emptiness in our hearts that only cherished memories and the passage of time can possibly heal. At Howard Hanna, we lost an old friend and mentor, Bill, who helped me begin my journey in real estate and helped me to grow into the agent I am today. And lastly, we lost our close and dear friend to the cruelness of ALS.
We witnessed loved ones’ struggles with various health issues, offering support when we could, feeling helpless when we couldn’t. We quickly had to learn how to navigate the well-being of aging parents, the ups and downs, and the care they need. Parents who are no longer able to be on their own or manage their own care anymore, and siblings who try to work together to do what is best for them. A broken back and complications with Diabetes for my mother, Dementia and the struggles that go with it for my father. I could go on and on.
We were fortunate enough to get away a couple of times and unwind, which was desperately needed for the two of us. Pausing to catch our breath, reconnect and lounge by the pool, gazing out at the turquoise waters in Curacao, a favorite island of ours in the Caribbean.
Together with friends, we took a two-week road trip across the Normandy and Brittany regions in France, finishing our journey in beautiful Paris. The villages were charming, and the French countryside is absolutely breathtaking. Normandy has been number one on my bucket list for as long as I can remember, and I’m beyond thankful for the opportunity.
This year, we picked ourselves up and dusted ourselves off more times than we can count, and each time we did, we grew wiser, stronger, and calmer. We navigated through the ups and downs of 2025, all while successfully running our businesses and taking care of our clients. We are truly blessed to work with the most supportive and amazing clients. I helped buyers achieve their goals of owning their dream home and helped home sellers turn the page to a new chapter in their lives. We created and renovated stunning kitchens, bathrooms, and basements, and provided homeowners with their ideal living spaces.
2025 provided us with significant learning opportunities, emphasizing the value of relationships and the importance of making the most of each day by living life to its fullest. It has deepened our understanding of gratitude and its true significance. Those who stood by us and lifted us with their unwavering support, we are eternally grateful. We would not have made it this year without you.
2026, I will celebrate 25 years in real estate. My journey in real estate began years ago out of a personal experience and a desire to advocate for others. I realized that being a real estate agent was not only about transactions; it was about building relationships, understanding needs, and providing unwavering support to my clients. It’s not just about closing a sale but about lasting connections.
I can’t help but express my gratitude to those who have helped me along the way.
We are ready for 2026. We plan on hitting the ground running and doing what we do best, taking care of ourselves and those that we love, and taking care of those who entrust us with some of the largest investments and decisions that they’ll make in a lifetime, and we could not be more grateful for the opportunity.
Our passion for what we do, and our commitment to excellence, remain steadfast!
Happy New Year, friends!
