Hello 2023! We haven’t posted on here since 2021… yikes!

2022 was a whirlwind - it was challenging but also great! Here’s some of the things we were up to:

We had a ton of apartment turnovers! We took on a renovation project that lasted a lot longer than we had hoped. I learned how to put up insulation & Zack tackled installing drywall, electrical work, flooring, & so much more! 🔨🧰

Entering 2023, we finally have all of our units rented and stabilized. ✅

I got my RE license this year and have seen tons of beautiful homes all over Pittsburgh. 🪪

We got engaged and are planning our wedding for fall of 2023. 💍✨

We bought a new house and rented out our old house (more on that later!) 🏡💕

2022 was a great year - we spent so much time working on the properties and are looking forward to what 2023 has in store… hopefully a little bit more time spent relaxing 🤪

We have officially been in business for one year (and a few weeks🥴)!

It’s pretty fitting that we spent the one year anniversary of HeyDay back working on the rental unit that started our real estate journey. Zack bought this duplex back in 2019, and lived here for 1 year!

This past year has been intense. We bought a duplex, renovated the entire place ourselves (with a lot of help from family and friends!), and decided to be psycho and buy a triplex a few months later taking us from 2 to 7 units in one year. We have had run-ins with the police and the fire dept, spent many hours working after our 9-5 jobs and on the weekends, cancelled trips (2 to be exact), dealt with every type of issue you can think of (knock on wood) and have somehow managed not to kill each other 🤪

We’re exhausted but excited to see what the next year has in store, hopefully a contractor and some handymen (or women).

Here’s to another year!!! 🏡🔨

Not the craziest before and after, but small improvements are our thing! We replaced the carpet with some new flooring, uncovered the amazing tiles around the fireplace (and painted it a fun color!) and found the most beautiful pocket doors. 💯💯💯

This weekend we uncovered pocket doors (circa 1898) hidden in the walls of one of our vacant units.

We knew there were hidden historic features in this house, buried away through hideous renovations and we were finally able to uncover some!

🚨 UNDER CONTRACT!

We are officially under contract for a triplex on Ardmore Blvd in Wilkinsburg! As we have been wrapping up renovations at Graham, we had been looking forward to some down time, however we couldn’t pass up this opportunity to grow our business!

We were able to secure seller financing for this property, with little down, and quick timeline to close. This will allow us to grow our business at a faster pace than we anticipated and we are very thankful for the seller who accepted our offer over better ones, because she liked us!

So, here we are, with two units getting ready for July 1 move in and closing on another property by the end of July (swipe for pic of our exhausted faces and cute dogs). Exhausted but so excited!
