Today was a special one — our son graduated preschool. 🎓

When asked what he wants to be when he grows up, he said he wants to be a builder.

As parents, that hits a little differently.

Maybe he sees the houses, the projects, the long days, the tools, the planning, and the work that goes into turning something old into something new again. Maybe he just likes building things. Either way, hearing him say that made us proud.

At Coal River Homes, building has always meant more than construction. It means creating something with purpose. It means improving what’s already there. It means taking care of people, families, and communities through the spaces we help bring back to life.

So today, we’re celebrating our little graduate — and maybe one day, our future real estate developer. 🏡

Once the carpet came out… we found the real condition of the floors underneath 👀

Years of pet damage had soaked through to the original hardwoods, leaving behind heavy staining and odor throughout the house.

Before moving forward with new flooring, we treated the affected areas with high concentration hydrogen peroxide to help neutralize the smell and prep the space properly.

The original hardwoods won’t be staying, but taking care of the underlying issues the right way matters. New flooring is going in and will completely transform the look and feel of the home.

This is the side of renovations people don’t always see — solving the hidden problems before the finished product comes together.
