According to news reports, a judge has put a halt on the plans to reduce Penn Ave., in the Strip District, down to one lane to allow for a new bike lane. Owner cite increased congestion and lack of parking for the reason for their objection to this change.

What are your thoughts? Are you in favor of reducing Penn Ave. to one lane in the Strip District or keeping it as is?

The Grist House Command Center made its Grand Opening debut this weekend, starting on Sept. 6th, inside the former Nike Missle Command Center. Constructed in 1957, built to protect the city from attacks, it sits at one of the highest points in Allegheny County.

Now, it features:

🔹️three dog-friendly decks
🔹️four bars
🔹️a full kitchen
🔹️140 indoor seating
🔹️private event space

🇺🇸 Military members who served at the site are encouraged to drop by for a pint and to share their memories of the place.
