I've lived in Western, PA, my whole life. I grew up in New Castle and then attended the University of Pittsburgh. I obtained an undergraduate degree in interdisciplinary studies, which included psychology, studio arts, women's studies, and art therapy. After working in the mental health field a few years, I received a Master degree in Professional Leadership and NonProfit Management from Carlow Un
iversity. I spent over 15 years in various supervisory roles in the mental health field. As a Residential Director, I helped open and operate personal care homes for over 100 people who were coming out of the State hospitals when they closed. I often miss the people I worked with over the years, and I still keep in touch with many of my former colleagues from that field. Having real, lasting relationships has always been important to me and has helped me tremendously as a Realtor. A friend who worked in the mental health field practiced real estate part-time and suggested that I might be good at it offhand. He did it part-time to supplement his income, and I was intrigued as someone who had always held more than one job. Within just a few months (2006), I had my license and was at the closing table with my first client, who also happened to be one of my staff. Before I knew it, I worked full-time in the nonprofit field and as a Realtor. In 2011, I married my husband, Brian. We have two children, Franco and Giovani. After my first child was born, I decided to focus on real estate alone and not return to a 9-5 nonprofit role. The flexibility of the business meant that I could spend more time with my family. The skills I gained in nonprofit administration and residential services carried over into helping people buy and sell homes. I learned to listen, educate, and be a trusted advocate, and ever since 2012, I've been a Full-Time Realtor! From the beginning, I want my clients to know that I will work hard to get them what they want. Helping them achieve their home goal is my priority, and having them trust me is my honor. When I am not assisting clients, I spend time with friends and family and give back to the community whenever possible. I volunteer for 412 Food Rescue, am involved at my children's public school, and give to the personal care homes I worked at each holiday season. I also love to bake, and I organize an annual Cookie Exchange each year that many of my past clients, who are now close friends, attend. I have the knowledge, experience, and patience. I will ensure that every step of the home-buying or home-selling process is informative and fun. If you are ready now or later, I'm ready to help!
