I woke up this morning with strong desires in my heart…
I began journaling, reminding myself of God’s perfect timing, and I was led to read Ecclesiastes. As I read, it brought me back to a place of perspective and contentment.
If we allow our hearts and minds to constantly be bombarded with everything we want to see happen in our lives, we can completely miss the beauty of what God is doing right now. Maybe you desire marriage, children, a new career, a home, a bigger home, financial freedom, Those desires are real, and they matter. But I want to encourage you today: God’s timing is perfect.
King Solomon had everything the world could offer. He was rich, wise, powerful, respected he possessed the very things most people spend their lives striving for. Yet in Ecclesiastes, he still described the endless pursuit of worldly gain and success as meaningless. Not because blessings are bad, but because nothing outside of God can truly satisfy the human heart.
Sometimes we spend so much time striving, chasing, comparing, and toiling that we fail to cherish the season we are currently in. We think fulfillment is waiting for us somewhere in the future, but often God is trying to teach us, shape us, and reveal Himself to us in the “now.”
Don’t become so focused on your “when” that you miss your “now.”
There is beauty in this season too.
There is purpose here too.
There is growth here too.
God is not behind.
Your life is not delayed.
And what He has for you will come in the right time. ♥️
